Article about: Hi, Could anyone please help me identify the unit at the bottom of this gas mask canister I bought several year ago? As far as I can read it says: Obgefr. Andreas Schoor L 44388 Lg. Pa. Nbg

    Could anyone please help me identify the unit at the bottom of this gas mask canister I bought several year ago?

    As far as I can read it says:

    Looks like the 5 digit number is a feldpost Nr? Wouldnt Nbg possibly stand for: Neberwerfer Brigade? Just a thought.

    Thanks for your reply! I think it might mean Nurnberg as well and the 5 digit number could be the feldpost number associated to some 152nd battalion originally stationed in that city, but I couldnĀ“t find it anywhere.
