    Default Candle Holder

My father in law was a german Stabsfeldwebel during WWII assigned to Army Group Mitte during operation Barbarosa, this was the group that made the spearhead to Moscow. On one of his home leaves he brought back a candle holder that he claims came form a Russian battle damaged church. When he passed away in the 90,s my mother in law gave me the candle holder. I was wondering if any of the russian forum members could identify the candle holder as russian and possibly provide additional info? Thanks in advance.

I'm just curious, is that made out of gold, and if so, is it solid.
