soviet/Ukrainian Road signs ww2

Could anyone tell me the colour of road signs in the soviet Union during ww2?

Have only black and white photos to go on and i'm guessing they were black with white text.

Also would they have still been in place 1943 or would they have been replaced by German ones? seeing as the majority of the population wouldn't speak German i presume they would have kept up the Russian/Ukrainian signs?
