I'm off to Moscow for a long weekend next week, I cant wait.
I am planning to visit the Museum of the Great Patriotic War but I don't want to miss any hidden WW2 gems in the city
If you know of any please let me know
Many thanks
Nick

Kubinka (or Patriot Park as it now appears to be called) is about 70 clicks outside Moskow so factor the travel into your timetable...also, since they overlaid the "Park" bit they say in the small print that some of the exhibits that used to be in the Museums sheds may be moved out at short notice AND I've also been warned that events at the Park may impact opening of the museum itself - the fact is I don't KNOW this stuff because I havent been back since the new Park status was created. The Central Army Museum is a must...especially in you go out the back as that's where the KV2 (and KV1) from Kubinka were when we went - they were on load from Kubinka - and the museum itself is not far from a Tube/Metro station which is handy.
Only want to have one of this Flags they are sooo nice.
Nice one Nick, have a great time
