Did anyone else dare to go there yet or am I still the craziest WRF member? So can you wander around alone or do you need to stick with a guide? I want to go there, maybe even this summer.

You have to go there with a guide (you can not enter without one) but then how much freedom you will get is up to your guide. Our guide was a really cool guide, we just needed to check in with him every 30 - 60 mins to make sure we were still alive other then that we were free to roam where ever we want (on our own risk). You have to understand that this is no game and it can be extremely dangerous, some places have so high doses of radiation that you will die within a few days of being exposed to it.

It originates from the intro movie to a strategy game from 1996, where you go back in time and remove Hitler to stop the second war from ever happening, unfortunaly ww2 happens anyway, just a few years later and this time it's Stalin who takes over Europe.
