Article about: Does anyone know what this division was doing in 1940? If you see the attached its from an issue New Testament. Winns army number, from a '37 pack posted on this forum, is 2333111. Is this a

    Does anyone know what this division was doing in 1940? If you see the attached its from an issue New Testament. Winns army number, from a '37 pack posted on this forum, is 2333111. Is this a pre war allocated block, pre or post Dunkirk. Winn was Royal Signals and i think the last part of the entry is H.Q which would be more likely for a signaller

    Cannot really help much on this. They were a Home Defence Div and never served overseas. Disbanded in 1944.

    Thanks, so i'm assuming that it was raised post Dunkirk in anticipation of Sealion and disbanded post D-Day.

    Formed on 10th September 1939. Disbanded on 30th August 1944.
