    Default Australian Service Record

I have just picked up an Aussie made MkII helmet with WX55571 written on the chin strap. This looks like the service number for someone who enlisted in Western Australia. I don't know that much about searching SRs. I am not even sure if I can get a name unless the person is deceased? Any help or further info most welcome.

    Hi mate,
I dont know if you have had a look at the AWM site or not.
I did a quick search of the Serial number with WX and came up blank,Try just adding the numbers, that came up with 4 results.

    Anyway heres the link,
Look on the right and click on Second World War Nominal Rolls.

    Good Luck
