British I.D. discs

Article about: Hi,Unsure where to post these as i'm not sure of there origin. Are there any good sites out there where i can trace this guy to determine whether there ww2 or post . Cheers Brookes.

    Hi Brookes, you cannot research the man as the records are closed. No website as a result.

    WW2 Royal Artillery serial numbers ran from 721,001 to 1,842,000.

    Having a unit designation on a wartime tag is unusual. The lack of religious denomination is also very odd.

    I should add that tags are now faked.

    Hi Ade,i have seen these tags with religious denomations and blood group.What you say about showing the mans unit on
    wartime tags makes sense.I thought they could have been restrung as the red disc is usually tied separately onto the green,but i didn't realise they were even faking these
