Does that tank have the hedge cutter setup as used in Normandy when battling their way through the hedges rows? Awesome picture

"Please", Thank You" and proper manners appreciated

My greatest fear is that one day I will die and my wife will sell my guns for what I told her I paid for them

I noticed that too. Didn't know they put those on tank killers, but I have seen them on plenty of Shermans.

I have been very busy over the last few days sorry for the delay.
I received in the mail last week a letter that has been in a file cabinet in a basement in the state of Virginia, The letter belonged to a son of a 802nd TD veteran who years ago went to a 644th TD reunion in Florida;A TD is a TD.
This is where it gets exciting, THE LETTER NAMES THE VETERANS IN THE PHOTO!!!!!!
And it gets better it tells the story of what happened when they arrived in Duren.
HISTORY IS NOT LOST...MEN ARE NOT FORGOTTEN....THEIR STORY LIVES ON......

I look at the photo everyday when I go to my den and have thought about this men and have asked myself... what is their story.... I now know.... . I have taken a picture of the letter, I felt it would be better to read it from the men who were there..... it's time to reflect.

That is an awesome addition to the photo of those men! Unfortunately a couple were KIA.

It does show and bring to light the sacrifice of these men. I have not looked at the photo the same since I read the letter.
My grandfather was in company "C".

That's interesting. I've just finished reading a book on the Ardennes battles of Dec '44- Jan '45 and Duren where the crossing took place is just to the north.
