    When looking at the wonderful crisp detail and the shine of the whole thing I understand how hard it would have been to resist joining the HJ. Iremember an old German friend of the family telling me how he once had wanted to join the HJ because "they looked so smart parading in their fancy uniforms", his father cathegorical NO ended the discussion one summers day in 1936

    Have to love getting one in this condition.

    I remember a guy having a box of painted Prussian EM buckles still in the paper. This was back in the mid 70s. $1 each. I think I got 5 for $4. I still have one.
