Original HJ buckle by if I remember rightly RZM M5/276 is Kleine & Quenzer. There used to be alot of speculation with these buckles as to originality. This is the version with the pins shroud missing, there is also another version with the 276 by the catch, I am sure David or Chad will have more to say on this buckle
Nice buckle by KuQ In the Nash book at least he states that these are suspect, but of course we now know better. Like Ben said, they do come with both a bare and shrouded pin, although I have personally not yet seen one with the pin shroud. Perhaps Chad has one he can show
Apparently these aren't really rare like the die-stamped zinc M5's (marking by the catch version). Nevertheless, an interesting placement of the markings and your's looks to be in very nice condition. Here are a couple photos of my "M5" buckles.
Nice buckle. Here's my example added for the sake of comparison/reference. These do have a unique look to them.
Thanks for the posts and the info gentlemen. I really didn't have a clue about this buckle. Can you tell me what it says on the front ?
I have another one that i bought with this one that looks to have been worn alot. I'll try to post a pic of that one too. Thanks again.
The inscription on the front is....BLOOD AND HONOR...
