Hitler Jugend Buckle

A HJ buckle for obsevation.. M4/27 Overhoff & Cie, Ludenscheid
Ear prongs have been flared up..Straight.. Overall a used but been there buckle..
Did this occour,(Ears) as the buckle was too small for a issued belt for other ranks at the time and could not be affixed in a normal fashion as others ?? And is this silver over nickel ?? Thanks Gwar..

I have seen a couple of buckles like this G but not many, I am not sure how comfy that would have been to wear with the straightened out ears? Hard to tell from the pics is it nickel over steel?

The metal where the ears are bent seems to be creased, it looks like somebody has straightened them???
