Thanks Ben, it is a bit tatty to say the least, it was in a box of WW1 medals coins etc I picked up last week at an auction.
Is it a common buckle?

yes its commen. Its nice but like Ben said, it has seen better days .

I sense a bit of scepticism here tis true, it was at auction and was not even mentioned in the description, I should imagine the buckle is not worth that much in that state anyway.

No matter what state its in the buckle is original and you own it bonus in my eyes!
