    Default HJ buckle for opinion

Recently came across this buckle - I have been doing pretty well with Heer buckles and would like to branch out to HJ or SA but am not too confident yet. here is an HJ that I am looking at buying though the owner wont give me a price until I make an offer. Why do people do that.....

Im thinking $35-40 plus s&h but not sure if real or worth that in its condition.
    Thanks for opinions, Joe C.

    Hello,

This is an original late war injection-molded zinc/"kriegsmetall" buckle by Overhoff & Cie, Lüdenscheid.

    Best,

I responded with an initial offer of $40 plus s&h and the response was -

"we are pretty far apart - I'm expecting $200."

I have responded with an increased offer of $50.00 and have asked what leads her to a figure of $200.00.

I explained that there are many different styles of German buckle from WWII and that for example an SS type with belt would be closer or more than $200.00.

    Will see,
    Joe

Unfortunately he is way off. $80 all included would be the max IMO.

Hello HJ buckles are one of the must common of all TR buckles. It would have to be a special HJ to be worth $200. A DJ to HJ conversion or a gold finished HJ Marine are the only ones I would pay $200+ for.
