Overhoff "Kriegsmetall" HJ
Perhaps the HJ-Koppelschloss is popular with the forum ?
Here is a Kriegsmetall example by Overhoff und Cie., Lüdenscheid, complete with the RZM tax label which has been heavily annotated.
Injection moulded "Kriegsmetall" is essentially a zinc based alloy.
These buckles were often painted or lacquered silver, silver/grey etc., however the chemical make up of the alloy soon caused this finish to disappear or leech. On very rare occasions, Kriegsmetall buckles are seen with their original paint or lacquer finish intact - as recently shown by Adam with his superb Kriegsmetall HJ by F. W. Assmann und Söhne, Lüdenscheid.

David

One of the most beautiful I've seen! That roundel is amazing, very distinctive!
I found a M4/38 with this distinctive front but it was a fake :P
So I have to keep looking
