    Nice buckle Ivan, if going by the M1 codes should have been made by M1/45 Friedrich Linden, Lüdenscheid, good find mucker

    Guys, is it always the case that if the M4 stamp is not present then revert back to the M1 maker?

    Not in all cases, no. There is a pinned thread on the subject explaining the RZM marking system rather well. With your buckle, and comparing the eagle design to specimens marked M4/24, Friedrich Linden should be a safe bet.
