Suspicious HJ buckle M4/42 Hermann Aurich

Hello buckle maniacs... This is just the second M4/42 I have seen and I recently got to me that there is a fake version of this out there.

Should we have "Suspicious minds" with this buckle or a "Burning love" ?

A little bird whispered in my ear that the catch needs a further investigation


Edit: I misunderstood my bird My brain are an idiot sometimes, and when I now what my bird meant and after the answers...this buckle is not so suspicious anymore

Found the same buckle on a WAF thread and it was judged original by collectors who's opinions I usually trust. Most of the HJ buckles marked M4/42 have crank catches marked in the diamond and some are marked near the catch. Most likely a later version and less cost to produce than the crank catch

Very nice and quite original Aurich HJ buckle, look at the shortened catch and slender ears, so typical of this maker, nothing wrong with it
