Werner Redo HJ RZM M4/118

Article about: Hi all Another arrival today and one more for the database, I got this from my good friend and forum member Adam The buckle its self is a die-stamped zinc HJ buckle by Werner Redo, Saarlaute

Thank you Wilhelm for your input on when the license was granted, and Wewelsburg for bringing this thread up again. I was thinking about this buckle when reading the other thread about markings lacking the "M". Here, one is tempted to think that the RZM admonished Redo for using a non-regulation marking and, to be compliant, they added the tiny "M" to their die, which just fits in between the RZM logo and their number. The alternative would have been to have a new die cut.

    Kind regards

When I first started collecting HJ buckles a year or so ago I saw a M4/118 (small m) for sale and did not buy it. I guess it had a dull finish and was not bright and shining like the few other buckles I had so far. Looking back now, that was really stupid
