My 1st HJ buckle was this injection molded OLC. I comment here as I no idea what I bought, but Chad did explain the "1" stamp. Not the best condition but I like it and it came nice worn belt
What a cool forum I thought...
That's a nice one, Jeff. It's interesting to note that yours is zinc, which usually points to late war manufacture, but the style of the Overhoff marks suggests otherwise. I know for a fact that some injection molded aluminum buckles were made as early as the mid-1930s, because I've personally seen an injection molded Schröder buckle which uses the KH prefix!
Any chance of pics of that buckle Erno?
i hold also a Schröder alu injection moldet buckle . I noticed that it have a little bit other design in eagle wings and maker mark . Also the post sleeve is made from alu .
There are a few different varieties, I think. The prong sleeve is steel on mine, as you might have noticed.
Ben, I don't have any pictures of the one I saw in person, but I think I saw a thread on WAF where a similar buckle is shown. I'll search and see if I can find it.
Cheers Erno, that is a really nice buckle and like hens teeth to get hold of
thank you for this nice info .
Never heart bevor from this early KH variation ever
