Thanks, Jeff! I was pretty happy with this one. The interesting thing to note is that this isn't a late war buckle; it's actually an earlier aluminum example. The only other maker who made these was Sieper.

An injected aluminum HJ by this maker was the first HJ buckle I ever saw. These will always have a special place in my heart!
Assmann contemplated making injected aluminum buckles also (there is an Assmann prototype in injected aluminum), I dont know why they never went into production.
