Garage sale find...what is it

Hi all.
I picked this up in the weekend for $25.00
Any info be great as ive tried to find the badge but cant find a simlar one etc.

It's a tinnie or 'day' badge - there are thousands of designs.........

I suspect it could be some form of rally pin given the date , as to price ive no idea, see what the other guys have to say

Looks like an H.J. "Potsdam" badge maybe?

It says 'N.S. 1 Reichs Jugendtag' = youth day. I found some on the net:

This badge is listed on this forum's member John T's site.......germanwarbooty.com ..Frank Booth is correct about the Potsdam badge. John has (2) for sale in the silver grade,according to condition (1) $150.00...(2) $250.00

Garry at the H.J. forum has done some good research on the Potsdam badge. The Silver version was used by active participants in the event and the bronze was for spectators and non participants. More information can be found here in this link.
