It's not a standard armband IMO. The H.J. armband is available in many places and original R.Z.M. examples are plentiful. For me, I would find a standard armband to add to your display that has no possible issues.

I have had this item for a number of years as it was brought for me as a gift so I have always been a bit doubtful of it. I will use it as a substitute on the shirt until I find an RZM example at the right price.
Does the item I posted look to be period i.e. a privately made example?

Difficult for me to say from photos alone if this is a period made item. Watch the sales areas of the various forums for an R.Z.M. armband. They are typically very reasonable when sold on the forums. I picked one up for only $60 USD all in a little while ago, can't touch that price on any dealers site IMO.
