Thanks Eric, from those pics you posted it is not looking very promising for me.
The period versions of these sports arm stripes are a soft material that droops when laid over a finger. The fakes are very stiff, and the threads smell like melting plastic when burned IMO. Of all places, Snyder had a very nice full length uncut example listed for a long time before it sold. I avoid these personally as there are many fakes. To each his own.
Burn a Original like a Kriegsmarine Badge???
