The opinions on that forum were not that it's a fake, but that it's a non standardized flag that requires further review.

Well.... what the guy actually said was that he wouldn't buy it. I don't see where he says that it "requires further review". I notice that you haven't bothered to answer over there either. Not very friendly considering you got a fairly comprehensive answer. Your vet story isn't proof that the flag is authentic so you'll have to hope that you get that photograph some day...
