I recall when I first held one of these in hand in circa 1979. I too was struck by the quality. Sadly I could not afford to buy it at the time.

Nice badge you have there. I had several chances to buy one several years ago and kept putting it off and then the price was raised to the point that I no longer was that interested in it. I wish I would have gotten it when I had the chance. The thing that struck me about these badges is how heavy they are.

the best one i have ever seen sits on uk dealers site, its is absolutely mint and has full burnish to its highpoints , it also has a very low issue number, but of course the price reflects at £550, more than the market can bare imo but it is investment grade tho!
