Nice looking shoulder board. Just out of curiosity what is the book it is sitting on?
It's a shoulder board for the Deutsches Jungvolk (DJ), i.e. the HJ's "junior section" for 10- to 14-year old boys. The number is the Jungbann number.
Thanks Andreas, and the book it's sitting on is "Nazi Plunder". I pickit up the other day and it is very fascinating. Thanks again guys!

This Jungbann number was used by Jungbann Dillingen of the Süd/Schwaben Gebiet. It is one of the HJ Banns that was formed after a reorganization that occured in 1942. These were worn as single shoulder strap on the right shoulder of the DJ uniform.
Darin, sometimes known as Frank Booth.
I collect HJ/DJ Shoulder Boards and early DJ sigrune patches.
