Large HJ grouping (donation)

Dear Sirs,

Today I received a large, well documented and beautifully preserved grouping from the relatives of an elderly man who passed away a short while ago.

So happy that it can be kept together instead of beeing shred to pieces in the pursue of the highest bidder.

Started documenting the lot today. Just a few close up pics of the badges and the armband.

The owner eventually became a "Fallschirmjäger" and met his end in Italy during the Battle of Monte Cassino. His full war trail is documented by the family.

That is super neat. Is the HJ shirt the same exact one as in the photo? I only ask because there are shoulder straps in the photo and not on the shirt. I think I can spy traces that show the straps were later removed. (?)

Having an item in your collection of which you have a period photograph is the cat's meow IMO.
