Any advise on proper care and storage of Hitler Youth Knife
My hubby finally got me for our anniversary a Hitler Youth knife. It is in mint condition, and I am hoping to keep it that way. I am looking for any advise on how to care for the blade and handle. Also, any suggestions on storing it. I have read that renaissance wax is good for the blade, but what should I clean it with beforehand? Even though I have many knives and guns this is my first edge weapon of this type. I wipe down my Wilson Combats with the renaissance wax and keep them stored in bore sacks along with a dehumidifier in the safe. Bore also has knife cases (knife socks basically). I'm not concern with the price, but the very best way to clean, protect, and store my knife. Thank you for any suggestions

Hello and welcome to the forum! 
I personally would not suggest "gun/knife socks" as I do not know what materials are used to construct them but, I would advise you to continue with your method of storage.
A gentle wipe with a soft cloth, a little Ren Wax, and stored in a safe that has a controlled environment.

Hi Wendy....1 simichrome application can not hurt ...or you can just wipe down with a cloth as Ralph has advised.
