    Default Early Eickhorn HJ knife

Came into work today and will go up for auction on July 25th.

The rear grip plate is interesting and appears to be a period replacement. The Veteran took it from a member of the KM who's ship surrendered to his ship in 1945. Never been in a collection before.

    Cheers, Ade.

Quite a tidy repair job. Interesting story, given that the knife is early, perhaps 1934ish, that 11 years later the former HJ member kept it with him. I've often wondered whether HJ boys who later served in the war took their knives with them. You do come across HJ knives with replaced grips that look like "trench art" upgrades.
