    No, definitely not the same knife !
    I sure hope it's not glued in on mine, seller didn't mention such thing. But I do not have it in hand yet :-0

    Marc this one is textbook early Henckels, i have owned 2 of these early ones and i know of the existence of one in another collection which i examined some 2 months ago.
    All three have diamonds that do not wiggle, so please dont jump the conclusion if the diamond does not have any movement.
    It all comes down to the way the diamond has been attached to the gripplate..

    An X-ray of my Transitional Henckels showing diamond attachment method, its all down to how tight the assembler bent the prongs (unless you can see obvious glue of course) regards, Paul

    I also agree with Ger, i have owned lots of different makers of hj knifes that had no movement to the diamond & no signs of tampering or glue ect, i forgot to mention this earlier, saying that its always good to examine the diamond with good clear pix before purchase, or even better an in hand examination.
