That is not quite correct...You will come across Nazi-era items that were designed for export that are marked "DRGM", or "Germany". I have Nazi books from the Eher Verlag publisher marked 1939 "Printed in Germany". I'm sure there are more such examples out there. If it's marked "W-Germany", stay away.

This is simply a post-war linder pathfinder knife. Most of the time, if the insignia is supposedly 'missing', it is just not a HJ knife; however, this does not mean its a fake. These knives are still being made today and look nearly identical to the ww2 issue, but because of their similar appearence, they are mistaken for HJ knives. As walkwolf said about the fleur de lis (which is not there).
