HJ Knife with strange Inscription

The Yad Vashem photo archive has quite a few decent photos of the Juist Hitler Youth group there. From the looks of the buildings and assembled boys, it was, apparently, quite large and professional.

Looking closer at the etching, it appears that several of the scratches in the motto seem to have gone both under and at other times over the lettering-it is clearest in the word "Mas". If this slogan was applied After the knives were issued, this would look to make sense, rather than having been laid onto a brand new untouched blade. The lettering in the slogan also looks to have the odd little "bumps and dots" in them that you see in many of the period etched blade motto's. However, the "Juist" marking seems to be fairly well worn.

The motto means more like: praise what makes you tougher!
It was the main Motto of the "Reichssportschulen" it was made to toughen the body by sport.

Guys i like this hj knife with inscription

First time i,ve heard about The Juist HJ Group so i have learned something new today,

The inscription looks period applied & looks very much like it was acid etched, this hj knife would fit the 1940 period when the hj were active on Juist Island.

You guys have done a great job of finding out what the inscription means & info on Juist Hj Group,

pity the daimond was replaced but the replacement looks genuine & i would like to see a photo of the rear of the daimond please ?

Thanks again for all the help everyone . I'm glad it's not a Porn dagger ! I'll post the diamond for Mac 66 , but it is not a dagger diamond . And one more of the blade , hard to get good photo's of it . If anyone ever see another Dagger like this please tell me . Thanks again .
