Default HJ Knife - any info?

I inherited a collection of German war memorabilia. I know the history of how my father came into most of the items. But, don't know much about the specifics of this Hitler Youth. The scabbard/sheath is different from others I've seen. Also, any info on the maker? Is it even legit? I would love to know if a replica so I can label it as such.

It has been sharpened on the curved point and not so much along the full edge. My assumption is it was used for a utility knife at some point in it's life. Certainly a hand sharpen job that ended up wearing off the engraving. It's still fairly sharp.

    Thanks for the info!

A very nice example of a Pack HJ which were a little bit different in every feature, as was Pack's habit. These are very collectable, the flower motive button suggests early 1930's, nice "browned" scabbard, you can see why the Packmen are crazy about these knives.

Thanks for the welcome and info. The name is a stab at self deprecating humor on the spelling of my name Odom.

The blade on this Pack (Spanner & nuts) hj knife is short & has been sharpened !

apart from that its a great piece & a highly sought after type to the hj knife collector.
