Is This HJ Knife Good? Possible Value?

Greetings everyone,

With this, my 50th post , I would like to get some opinions on this HJ knife. One of my buddies has it for sale, and I am thinking of buying it. It appears to be a good one, but these are not my specialty. The maker is Anton Wingen, and year of manufacture is 1941. There is little to no paint left on the scabbard and the metal shows a lot of wear. The leather strap that secures the knife is broken at the snap, but the snap is still present. Please give me your opinions on this knife and what a good value would be. He is asking $175 for it. Thanks!
