I kinda have my doubts friend.
I have never seen any reference about a blade like this.
I do not think The Hitler Youth participated in the Olympics as a group or as individuals.

Looks like Ade beat me to it.

Never saw one eighter, but I am no expert!
Still I find the etching and the use of colors for the olympic rings having a certain credibility....

It reminds me of the "REICHSPARTEITAG NÜRNBERG 1935" dagger. I think it could be authentic.... But I'm no expert...

Hitler Youth did work as volunteers at the 1936 Olympics. It certainly is possible that this was some form of gift to those who participated. However, in 50+ years of collecting, I have never seen or heard of this piece before. In these days of so many fantasy fakes, I would need some period confirmation of the existance of such a piece to be convinced.

There are quite a few of these about for sale, many with the 'original' paper packaging envelope. However, the majority of vendors have, shall we say, a 'reputation' amongst many serious collectors. Just Google 'Hitlerjugend Olympic Knives' and make up your own mind.

Other than that, here's a thread off WAF that also discusses them. They appear to be very contentious.
