HJ scabbard question

Hello,

Are you guys familiar with a HJ scabbards with only 1 runner/spring on the inside? the scabbard form my HJ knife by Emil Voos has only one runner/spring on one side coverd with cotton and a verry small runner/spring deep down the scabbard on the other side to hold the knife securely in place.. it doesn't seems to be broken or replaced or something.

Your hj knife scabbard is a genuine enough but maybe the runner has broke off as it should be fixed to the rivet?, does it move?, it may be jammed down inside the scabbard?

Early non ricasso hjs have only 1 runner,

Transitionals & late RZMs have the 2 runners in place.

No the rivet and the runner down the scabbard both do not move it doesn't seems to be jammed, the knife itself is early.. i have an early no ricasso eickhorn with 2 runners to.

Thats a real nice early Voos hj

As for the scabbard runner its a bit of a mystery!

Also scabbards get swapped over thru the years so that might explain your early Eickhorn hj scabbard with 2 runners.
