Preservation of HJ knife
Hey guys,
Just got my first blade, it's an Hitler-Jugend-Fahrtenmesser and I'm looking for tips on the best way to keep it.
Current Conditions:
- Currently it's wrapped on bubble wrap but I don't think it's a good idea ...
- Also, it's a closed cabinet in my desk.
- Air in the region is also often humid but far from the sea.
- I use to clean it with a dry cloth but don't think it's enough, I'm also going to buy the ReWax ...
Do you have any other tip to help me out ?
thank you in advance !

I think renwax will do just fine on HJ knives.
The scabbardspring(s) of these knives originally are covered with a white cotton "sock".
If you would oil the blade with balistol these socks will be dirty and turn black.
Renwax will preserve the blade and will not harm the cotton coverage of the scabbard springs.
