My Hitler youth knife is finally restored! this is the knife that was posted in the previous thread:

    Beach trip finds

the knife was bought at an antique store in Beaufort NC, while on vacation, and had a fighting knife scabbard on it. later down the road I traded the knife off to a guy who wanted it for the scabbard. while it was in his possession, he removed the fighting knife scabbard, put a HJ scabbard on it, and put it in his booth at the antique store he sells at. I came upon it one day (having regretted trading it away) at the antique store, and eventually ended up trading for it, so I could have it back.

this knife has been through many hands over a short period of time, but I am glad to have it back in my collection, where it will stay for a long time.

A fortunate reunion. It also gives a much higher appreciation for the artifact. Whats great about this knife now..is the Scabbard matches the condition of the knife. Although missing the hanging strap..it looks great. Regards Larry
