    Default WW2 Hitler Youth Knife

    I have a ww2 Hitler youth knife
    Pros:
    Handle is made of nickle
Sheath is made of correct materials
    Blade has pitting from age
Leather on blade is hard from age

    Cons:
    Not black sheath (Gray/pale green)
No product number or factory name
Only says on Blade Solingen Germany
On leather belt loop says Made in Germany.

Info I have read online that after the war Germany used surplus parts from hitler youth knives and sent them to America for Boy Scouts (Hence the Green Coloring on Sheath)
Also due to surplus parts could that be a reason for no factory number?

My Question Is it real and Whats it worth?

Hi, Lonewolf. Welcome to the Forum...............!

I do not believe the 'left over parts' story, and I think this is an imported
Boy Scout knife from the 60's or 70's. Both the sheath and the knife
    are wrong, IMO, sorry.

I've seen this many times, where the green Boy Scout diamond
logo has been removed to appear more like a period HJ knife.
    Regards,

    Steve.

As you said this is a post war dagger made for the US market. Sheath is made post war you can tell by the lip on it. I find them for around 20-30 US in better shape. Gary
