Imperial Buckle w/dated tab

Hi All,
Just wanted to show this buckle I got, it is rare to see one with a tab that is dated, or at least thats from what I have seen, which is why I grabbed it as soon as I saw it, its marked Jullus Raschen Grelz 1916, it looks like the date was stamped wrong the first time with 9966(must have been a new guy) then it was restamped 1916. hope you like it.

I do like the marked tab Prussian buckles, it makes me wonder why a lot of these makers never carried on making buckles, I have seen Osnag produced WW1 buckles as did Schmole & Comp, strange!

Nice looking buckle. I also have a 1916 tabbed example (Bavarian).....True that you don't see too many tabbed ww1 examples.

I don't think I have ever seen a brass example (pre-1916) with a tab.....Is there such a thing?
