Imperial German Buckles.

Article about: Next, 3 buckles with identical bodies but with different makers/sellers on the tabs. This design is by far my favourite. Really classy feel IMO. Each buckle is finished differently, one galv

Great looking buckle! Notice the lack of "ears" on it - something usually found on the smaller examples. I love it!

    Good Day Gentlemen,
I thought I'd add a couple of buckles out of my collection.
    Anton

First is my old Veteran. it has a 1917 date on it.

My early war, although not marked. It's belt is marked 1915.

Last is my Un-issued steel. I think I paid $10.00 for this in 1992.

Hi, 3 holes on the back is a classic sign of a fake. I would steer clear of this one.

Thanks, thats what threw me to was the 3 holes, also looks as if it has got a thin gold coating thats worn at places shown steel below it, probably a fake brass effect?
