I recently had a chance to pick up an EM belt buckle - brass with silver disk - Gott Mit Uns motto with the Imperial crown over an anchor in the center. Is this a navy issue buckle or what? Who would have worn this?

Hi aicusv, if you post a few closeup pics of your buckle I'm fairly certain it can be indentified.

I have no photos - I have not (yet) purchased the buckle - want to know more about it first. The buckle appears as the standard marine buckle, but for the center device. It is very similar to the naval officer's, but there is no "W" imposed over the anchor and the crown has the ribbon as part of it.
