If someone would be kind enough to provide a link, Ebay item # 202226226392, which appears to be for Dragoon Regt. nr.26.
It went for $ 1,137.77, with 40 bids. 17 bids were entered by one bidder ( not the winner), which sure looks like shill bidding to me.

I saw this piece and even bid on it but dropped out early. I could not believe the sale price. That was way one of line.

Indeed, the price edges into officer's pickelhaube territory. Certainly, you could buy virtually any officer's peaked cap for that price, even the most sought after regiments, Seebattalions, etc.
