Hohenzollern Commemorative Medal for Combatants, 1848-1849 (Hohenzollersche Denkmünze für Kämpfer von 1848-1849). This medal was instituted by King Friedrich Wilhelm IV on 23 August 1851 in association with the House Order of Hohenzollern for those officers and soldiers who remained loyal during the rebellions of 1848 and 1849. The Prussian army played a crucial role in suppressing not only the rebellions in Prussia but also in Baden and Saxony, the medal was produced at the Royal Mint in Berlin. It is a nice original example, but has the wrong ribbon attached...see photo showing the ribbon for this medal. See here for the events leading up to the instituting of this medal..... Prost ! Steve.

Hi Steve thanks for the valuable info. I will ask the seller if he has the correct ribbon on this. He asks 60 euros for the medal.
No problem about the ''closed thread''
