    I picked up this gem today...a proclamation announcing the victory against the French at Woerth 6-7 August 1870...The first major engagement of the war with many Bavarian and Prussian regiments losing over 50% in casualties. The Germans' modern Krupp artillery was instrumental in the French defeat...(I just learned all this today, btw...)
    I'll frame it for preservation, figuring I couldn't go wrong for 10 Euros...

    I don't fancy papers much, but this one is a very interesting one ;-)))
    Congrats on a great ( and cheap ) find !
    It is going to look cool on the wall, and if it don't, I am sure i can find a place on mine :-)
