    Hello fellow Imperial EK addicts
I purchased this EK2 a few days ago and thought I'd post it. It's maker marked K.M. I have tried to research the maker as best I can and have come up with Konigliches Munzamt, Studgard. Would love to know if that is correct.
As far as I can ascertain, the ribbon is authentic but have no provenance as to whether it belongs to this cross or not. After all a lot can happen over 100 years. Still I had to have it when I stumbled upon it.

    Ken,

What a lovely addition. Your cross still exhibits some nice detail to the core and certainly the frame has a lovely patina only time can give. I have several KM made crosses and I must say not to pull favorites but they all have that special place. A nice non-combatant!

    Cheers,

    Joel

    Nice find,
KM marked crosses are fairly uncommon. As far as I know, the information on
    the maker is correct.

I find that very interesting as I very seldom see them posted on the forums or on ebay.

    I agree with Greg.

    Another nice one Ken!
I see this one has a hump for the ring to be soldered on to.

Thank you Joel. The core has suffered a little over the years but as you say it still has some great detail to it. Now it's in my care it should not deteriorate any more. Have wanted a Non-combatant for some time now and I must say the contrast of the ribbon when placed with my collection is really quite stunning.

Thank you Greg for helping to confirm the maker. It is also nice to know that it is not a common maker as well.

P.S. I hope you are feeling a little better, get well soon Greg
