A heavy bladed brute, for sure, and definitely not a parade sword! In great condition! Nice find!

Fine looking sword
Very nice 1856nA Prussian artillery sabre. I don't know if Wurttemberg had any cavalry, but without being marked on the cross guard to a Wurttemberg unit, I would say the crown over W over 16 is a Prussian acceptance stamp. If you use a good light and look behind the langet, the part that hangs down from the base of the crossguard and covers the base of the blade, you can see who the maker is.

Thanks guys. Jim P appreciate the information. Way back I looked up blade markings and some how concluded Wurttemberg. I'll try and get the maker mark based on your suggestion
