    Gents,

Here is a another unique cross in my collection that needs to be shared. It is in the top three that is for sure of my favorite EK1s. This is what I consider a very good/excellent example of a vaulted Wilhelm Duemer made cross re-issued in 1939 for WWI Veteran's. This is that type of cross that will be hard to find in a finer condition.

    Thank you for your interest.

    Very nice Joel!
Although mine is not marked, it is a screw back. It is the same, manufactured during the TR era.
One of my very first EK I's.

    Ralph,

Your cross is absolutely stunning and a true work of art! I have yet to obtain a screw back and is a must have down the line. Thank you so much for sharing yours.

    Cheers,

Both of those crosses are beautiful examples. It would be near impossible to upgrade either one of them. My pinback is IMO slightly older than Joels. It uses the typical inter-war hardware, before the
introduction of the L/11 codes and has a silver plate over tombac frame which has mostly worn off.

I bought it because I liked seeing the yellow base material showing through.

    Greg,

I thank you for sharing your thoughts on our crosses and as well for sharing your cross. I must add that you and I are alike for I would have purchased your cross as well for the differences in hardware and certainly for the base material shining through. A neat piece!

Thanks Joel, It's great to see the variations of iron crosses. Over the years I've tended to collect 'general TR' & never specialised in one particular field & I'm amazed at the amount of expertise in certain fields in 'the hobby' & the decency of people to share & help others, it truly makes the world go round !
    Kind regards
    Paul

It's the variations in ww1 crosses that makes them so interesting and fun to collect.
