    Nice bar Alan.
Very typical JH Werner style iron cross. I am curious,
is the cross marked on the ring?

Thanks very much for the info on this Greg, I appreciate it!

I will try to see if I can carefully get at the ring. The cross is wrapped and tied down at the eyelet ring with white thread as seen in the photos, and one arm of the cross is also wrapped/tied down with the black thread, and the ribbon is fairly tight with the assembly wrap as well that covers the ribbon ring. I'm guessing that I probably won't be able to carefully access the ribbon ring, but I'll give it a look to see if I can get in there or not.

    Best Wishes,

    Alan

    Thanks Alan.
What ever you do, don't hurt the threads. Don't let my curiosity damage
the value of your medal bar.
