Article about: It's been slow on the forums today so I thought I might post one of my bayonets. It's in rough condition but still has a certain appeal to it. (sorry for the bad pics)

The Bayo is made by Mauser and is dated 1915 on the spine.

The sheath is unmarked except for the imperial crown
    acceptance mark.

The frog is marked Hohmann & Sohn, Kaiserlautern 1915
There are no unit marks anywhere on the set.

There's nothing wrong with a bit of rough! And I agree with you, it does have a certain appeal to it! I've seen an awful lot worst!

Rough or not, it's still a butcher blade and who wouldn't want one? Really it's not all that rough being a hundred years old and all

The wood grips and the aged frog IMO makes it very collectable. Who said History had to be Mint to collect it? Thanks for posting Regards Larry
